The Unna Festival is the largest summer event in Onnason. It brings together residents, local organizations, and businesses. The festival consists of a variety of events including programs in which residents can partisipate, such as afish and fruit catching competition and local performing arts shows. It also features concerts by famous musicians from Okinawa and other parts of Japan, special sales of Ushi-jiru (Beef soup) made in a community pot, raffles, Eisa, and a fireworks display, which attract a large number of visitors from inside and outside the village.
The Industry Festival is held is held every December at the Onnason Fureai Hands-on Learning Center to promote Onnnason's industries to people inside and outside the village by exhibiting and spot-selling livestock products, marine products, processed goods, souvenirs, and the most popular items are locally grown ornamental plants, fruits and vegetables, and processed seafood products.
